September 2, 2015 Board of Directors Meeting Agenda & Notice

Please see the attachment below for your copy of the September, 2015 Open Session Board of Directors meeting agenda. Agendas will also be posted in the common area as per Civil Code. 

If you wish to speak during the Board of Directors meeting during Open Forum, please fill out this form and be prepared to limit your comments to 3 minutes per unit. 

All homeowners are welcome to the General Session Meetings, Executive Session meetings are closed to the membership unless you were invited to attend for a hearing related issue.

Following the September Open Session Board Meeting at 7:00PM the Association will have a "Meet the Candidates Forum" for the Association members running for a position on the Board of Directors.  The Meet the Candidates Forum will begin promptly at 7:00PM in Avalon's Temecula office. Members in attendance will have the chance to get to know the Association Members running for the Board and ask questions during the Q&A portion of the Forum. We hope to see you there!

August Water Savings Tip

If your lawn "fades" in the summer, don't panic. Grass becomes naturally dormant during hot, dry periods. It will revive quickly after a good rainfall or when the weather turns cooler. 

• One inch of water a week (rain plus supplemental watering) should be plenty. After heavy rain, you may not need to water for 10-14 days. 
• Water very early in the morning. 
• Never water when it's windy, rainy or very hot. 
• Raise the blade level of your mower to 2 -3 inches or more. Longer grass retains more moisture.   
• Never water faster than the soil can absorb it. Avoid puddling and run-off. 
• Be sure your hose has a shut-off nozzle. Hoses without a nozzle can spout 10 gallons or more per minute. 
• Do not apply fertilizer in the summer - new growth requires more water. Apply in early spring and or fall. 
• If you have an automatic sprinkler system, make sure the timer or "controller" is set to water each landscape zone efficiently. Program the controller to operate according to the watering needs of your lawn or garden. Better still, install a rain sensor or soil moisture sensor that turns the system off if it’s raining or if moisture is present in the soil.

2015 Annual Meeting & Meet the Candidate Forum

2015 Annual Meeting
This email is to advise you that the 2015 Annual Ballots are being mailed to you this week. Expect to see them in your mailbox sometime early next week. The Association requests that you take a few moments to cast your vote, even if you only shade in the "For Quorum Purposes" only option. To hold a successful election, we need each and every property owner to participate. This year, the Association is paid for Business Reply Mail so you won't even have to use a stamp to return your ballot! Thank you for doing your part. The Annual Meeting is scheduled for September 27, 2015 at 1:00PM at Avalon's Temecula office 43529 Ridge Park Dr., Temecula CA 92590.  A note regarding your ballots - Avalon Management can not accept your ballots, please return them to HOA Elections using the Business Reply Mail or bring them to the Annual Meeting in September.

Meet the Candidates Forum

Request for Candidates & Annual Members' Meeting

We need volunteers! Three (3) Board of Directors positions are up for election at the Annual Meeting of the Members scheduled for September 27, 2015.  Any property owners who are interested in serving on the Board of Directors can have their names placed on the Secret Ballot that will be mailed out in August. 

If you would like to run for one of the three open positions on the Board, please download and submit a Volunteer Application found under Documents & Forms. Please be sure  it is received by Avalon Management no later than August 13, 2015 at 5:00PM. Please contact Avalon if you have any questions regarding running for the Board of Directors.  If you do not choose to volunteer or run for  the Board of Directors, the Association requests that you please complete your ballot and return it to the Inspector of Election. This year the Board will include Business Reply Mail, which will cover the cost of postage for returning your ballot. Thank you for participating!
